TSSP Capacity Building

A performance story report was prepared in 2009, evaluating the impact and effectiveness of the TSSP capacity building approach in a particular case: The TSSP Human Resources adviser contribution toward the achievement of Capacity Building outcomes in the HR Department of PNG Ports Corporation Limited. The findings of that study are presented in this narrative report:

The TSSP capacity building framework guides the overall approach to improving capacity of individuals, work groups, agencies and the transport sector. 
 
The TSSP Staged Capacity Building Model roll-out commenced in the Department of Transport in August 2008 and Department of Works, Corporate Service Divisions in October 2008.  Implementation in other agencies will occur progressively in the first half of 2009. 
 
Monitoring and evaluation of capacity building progress in the agencies is an important feature of the model.
